West Coast Tasmania
Driving around Tasmania can take much longer than you might think. There is so much to tempt you to stop along the way but be aware that our roads can be long and winding through stunning mountainous terrain. Check out this MAP for actual driving times between towns and please remember to watch out for native animals on the roads, especially at night.

Anchorage Accommodation
It's the little things that make your stay at Mt Lyell Anchorage so comfortable. Like large walk-in showers, heated towel rails, bathrobes, quiet panel heating, well equipped kitchens and free Wifi to keep in touch with friends and family. The main house "Anchorage" has 4 rooms, each with a private bathroom suitable for adults only. For families, our self-contained cottages provide everything you need. If you are travelling alone please contact us for single rates.

Huon Room
This huge room at the front of the house has a lovely bay window with comfortable seating and a Queen Bed plus King Single bed providing accommodation for up to 3 guests. 32″ flat screen TV. A large luxurious bespoke en-suite bathroom with a walk-in double shower and large deep bath, features local Huon Pine timber. Go ahead and spoil yourself! Not suitable for children under 14.

Sassafras Room
This large room at the front of the house has a Queen Bed, antique furniture and a 32″ Flat screen TV. The luxurious bespoke en-suite shower room features the local Sassafras timber and a large walk-in double shower. Sleeps up to 2 adults.

King Billy Room
This medium sized room in the centre of the house has a Queen Bed, antique chaise lounge and lovely bespoke en-suite shower room with double shower, featuring local King Billy timber. 32″ Flat screen TV and antique dressing table providing comfortable accommodation for up to 2 adults.

Blackwood Room
This medium sized room at the back of the house has a Queen Size bed, a 32′ Flat screen TV and comfortable seating. A private bathroom is provided across the hall with a separate shower and deep bath

Waratah Cottage
This fully self-contained cottage has 2 bedrooms with 1 Queen Bed and 2 King Single beds sleeping up to 4 guests. The living area has a kitchenette with limited cooking facilities and comfortable seating. 30 inch Flat Screen TV. Good sized bespoke bathroom with large walk-in shower. Perfect for small groups or families. Children welcome.

Tea Tree Bungalow
This fully self-contained bungalow has 2 separate bedrooms, both with Queen sized beds. The bathroom has 2 walk-in showers. The living area has a fully equipped kitchen with dining table, comfy lounge and 32″ flat screen TV. Sleeps up to 4 guests.
